Use knowledge of language and its conventions when writing, speaking, reading, or listening
Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words
Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions
Conduct short research projects that build knowledge about a topic
Social Studies
Describes the American Indian nations in their local region long ago and in the recent past
Identifies and describes the 3 branches of government and citizenship
Understanding economics
Determine the reasons for rules, laws, and the U.S. Constitution
Discuss the importance of public virtue and the role of citizens
Describe the lives of American heroes
Identify geographical features in their local region
Understand the role of rules and laws in our daily lives and the basic structure of the U.S. government
Handwriting
Actively make the proper continuous strokes of each letter to formulate and legibly read each word.
Technology
Actively uses 1:1 iPad to receive individualized instruction which helps them meet and exceed the Common Core Standards.
